PROJECT COORDINATOR

Michael Hill, MD and Associates is seeking full-time Project Coordinator that will be responsible for leading and managing a project from conceptualization through implementation. The ideal candidate will be reporting to the Project Manager. The Project Coordinator will work with various teams to define roles and accountabilities, prioritize work efforts, and monitor them through execution. This position will manage all aspects of the project plan including, but not limited, to project kick off and planning, project execution, scope management, resource planning and vendor management.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Manage day-to-day project execution of project plan

  • Coordinate project life cycle tasks from definition through post implementation

  • Maintain project scope definition and change control management

  • Ensure creation, identification, prioritization, and sign-off of business requirements

  • Assure project planning and financial monitoring, including coordination of cost estimates; resource planning and management, and the identification of and securing of resources

  • Define methodology for modifications, conversion, and implementation

  • Facilitate project communication including risks, issues, and deviations from the plan

  • Confirm achievement of objectives; verify and document project deliverables and milestones to formalize acceptance by the sponsor

  • Provide direction, leadership and mentoring as required to other team members

  • Coordinate production, post implementation tasks, and project review

  • Ensure proper transition to production support team and impacted business areas

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 3+ years  project coordination background with demonstrable experience managing long term consulting engagements

  • Extensive industry best practice and personal knowledge of hospital operations

  • Finely-honed influencing skills to build a broad base of collaboration and support for the initiative amongst key decision-makers and influencers in all theatres of operation

  • Superior facilitation and communication skills  

  • Demonstrable talent for driving complex issues to a satisfactory resolution and removing roadblocks impeding project progress

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

  • Demonstrated competency in managing substantial project budgets

  • Ability to clearly define complex issues despite incomplete or ambiguous information

  • Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills required

  • Ability to maintain composure and continue to function effectively under pressure

  • Comfortable interacting effectively at all levels of the organization

  • Attention to detail and discipline to ensure project management methods are adhered to.

 

Education:

 

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university, Master’s degree in a relevant discipline preferred

 

Technical Skills:
 

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office suite, with particularly strong acumen in MS Project
